Sept ’10: Ellie Boyle
|| Ellie Boyle
||5’6″ and a half
What are your best features?
I’ve been told my bum and my laugh… I would say being body confident is best.
5/5 That’s the spirit!
Where are you from?
Originally Basingstoke but I got out of there quick! I’ve travelled Australia and Fiji, and being part Greek I love chilling in the Greek islands. I’m now based in Devon, three miles from the up-and-coming windsurf spot Lyme Regis…
5/5 A Greek Aphrodite, eh?
What is work?
Used to be teaching windsurfing, sailing and wakeboarding… now it’s Boylo’s! I decided to combine my business management degree with my passion for watersports and run a watersports shop: www.boylos.co.uk. Live the dream…
5/5 Hold on – you own a surfshop?!? (Don’t suppose your dad happens to run a brewery too?)
What do you do in your spare time?
All things water. Windsurf, surf, wakeboard, mono-ski, SUP, kite, snowboard, ski … or if conditions are lacking chill at secret beach. And when the sun goes down: party!
5/5 Never a dull moment.
What could a guy do to impress you?
Be a super-modest but super-talented windsurfer. With a cheeky smile. And killer eyes.
4/5 Oh. That’s us out then, immodest grumpy muppets that we are… Sounds just like a certain Quatro / Goya rider we know though!
What do you like about being in a male dominated sport?
The on-water eye candy and fun fearless females who make great friends.
4/5 We kinda like them too…
Does a windsurfer make a good boyfriend?
Yup – I’ll never date a non-windsurfer again. Windsurfers are hardcore, passionate and good in … the water!
What is your most memorable achievement to date?
Starting up Boylo’s! It’s been the toughest thing I’ve ever done but the hard work and long hours are paying off. I work hard to play hard and love every day.
4/5 OK. It may be true, but that plugging’s verging on shameless now!
