My setup = Middle of the track, very rarely will i adjust this, boards are short enough now not to need to alter this much
Standard setup = middle of the track, that’s where we put it when we design the boards, it works.
General principle = forward more control/early planing. Back = speed/looseness
The two larger central fins - standard 15cm fins. These provide a lot of the power and speed for the board. Pretty much non adjustable, we found this to be the best place for them for everything and don’t want you to move them and get it wrong...! See left.
The Thruster fins – standard 10cm thrusters. You have a bit more range to tune these; I put mine in the middle or slightly back of middle for all round use (see below).
The general feeling is this... the further forward and more space between the front and rear fins the more control and grip in radical situations along with increased predictability of the board (see bottom left). Moving the fins back and reducing the distance between the fins, (see bottom right) free’s up the board making it feel faster, turn easier and feel livelier under foot, allowing me to make the most of the average conditions i use this board in.
