The helicopter is flying overhead, booked for a substantial fee for just 30mins. This is the only chance that you will get to be all over your sponsor’s brochures & advertising campaign for the next 12 months. You can’t get a wave, there is none to be had, the clock is ticking & then you spot the only decent swell line of the session. One chance, one wave….we’re impressed Levi!
The AWT Tour is a series of professionally run race events for amateurs with a few Pros thrown in for good measure! This year they have been to Kuantan in Malaysia, Bintan in Indonesia , Boracay in the Philippines & Saipan. Now the final event of the Tour takes place this JUNE in Ulsan, Korea.
A fleet of over 200 windsurfers are expected to attend along with Pros Micah Buzianis, Antoine Albeau, Dan Ellis and Jimmy Diaz as well as the newly crowned AWT Champion Masato Ogawa from Japan.
The event this year also has two other competitions; an Olympic RS:X division and a kiting contest.
