This annual event is in its tenth year and just keeps getting bigger and better. It’s a showcase for ‘extreme sports’ competition from thundercat powerboats to skating, to BMX to mountain biking to duathlon and of course, surfing, kitesurfing & windsurfing. This year sees a UKWA Slalom & Freewave contest and if the last few years are anything to go by, the wind will be touching gale force!

Bloody Mess
Ooops! Buyers of a spanky new 2007 Neil Pryde sail may feel more than a bit of pain in their wallet!!
Unfortunately for Neil Pryde, the plastic re-inforcement strip along the bottom of the sail has turned out to have similar cutting properties to a stanley knife blade, laserating the legs of anyone who dares to sail it!
Pryde are aware of the situation and have issued a video 'modification guide' describing how to blunt the foot piping.
Owners are apparently looking forward to checking this video out after discharging themselves from the skin graft and blood transfusion unit.
