To determine a price to get started is also tricky, as there is lots of second hand kit about. So let’s pretend we have won the lottery and will be buying everything brand spanking new! Basically the worst case scenario…

• Beginner Package (Board and 12m Kite): £850
• Wetsuit: £120
• Harness: £60
• Impact Vest: £80
• Helmet: £40
• Third party insurance through BKSA membership: £30

TOTAL: £1180

Add a selection of ultimate accessories eg. Sunglasses, suntan cream and we will call it £1200. Guaranteed to be the best £1200 you ever spend!

But...

• Buy second hand and you can easily half that. 
• Become friends with a Kitesurfer and it could cost you nothing!
