Moves to make you look twice..
Kiri Thode and Gollito Estredo are both battling out for the Freestyle World Title. Often the practice is even more impressive than the competition, as riders lose their inhibitions. Here are two moves from the PWA practice that stood out and got everyone talking.

First up is a move from Kiri Thode that has no name, in fact some thought it was such a new move that they all loved it and rushed out to learn it. But is it actually something new? At the mythical place that is Boardseeker HQ some of us reckon that we have seen it before, done by none other than Victor Fernandez Lopez, 3 or 4 years back at Pozo. However, he did them going out off a small wave. What is it then? A clew first ponch like thing however decide for yourself. Like all these moves, Kiri Thode can now do them one handed.

Second up is a 15ft Shuv-it from the reigning freestyle champion Gollito Estredo. You can see from the way that he approaches the move that he is obviously trying for a massive shaka. Watch how he controls the move at a point where most would be pushed into an uncontrollable push loop crash. |
