This weekend saw one of the biggest watersports festivals in Europe hit the UK. Hayling Island on the south coast of England hosted thousands of windsurfers, who came down to race, mingle and check out all of the latest 2014 equipment.
Along with the masses many of the UK’s top windsurfers were around too. Robby Swift seemed in good spirits, comfortably walking on his injured ankle and even taking to the water to SUP and for a little windsurf. Also in attendance were Ross Williams, John Skye, Nayra Alonso, Ben Proffitt, Justyna Sniady and many more of the top race and wavesailors.
But it was perhaps the freestyles that put on the most spectacular show of the weekend. The night tow-in competition was closely fought and incredible to watch, with Gollito Estredo pulling out some of his best tricks. Max Rowe, Oscar Carmichael and many more also impressed the strong crowd, but they just couldn’t match Gollito.
