This time of year is always an exciting and intriguing one in the windsurfing world.
Top riders from big brands, to smaller and the other way around. This year is already proving to have some very surprising news as Ricardo Campello announces on Facebook that is to leave JP Australia and NeilPryde…without a new deal in place with other sponsors.
“After 11 or 12 years sponsored by JP boards and NeilPryde sails I sadly announce that I won’t be riding them anymore for 2014. It is a very sad news for me but I have learned a lot with them and maybe now it’s time for a change. I still don’t know what I’m going to do next year but I will try as much as I can to be on the water! I will give more details soon RC.”
The rumour mill is working overtime now, with more big names in the racing, wavesailing and freestyle potentially moving sponsors. Absolutely nothing has been confirmed just yet, but Boardseeker are trying hard to get to the bottom of all of these rumours and bring you the latest news as it happens.
