Despite the winds returning to their normal direction, they remained fairly light throughout the day. After a few hours of waiting, there was enough to finish off the so far uncompleted Mens round 4 and to run another Womens round.
Micah Buzianis was the man of the day today with increadible speed in the lighter winds – He didnt really look threatened by anyone and walked the final. Jimmy Diaz (fellow North tester and F2 rider) was on form also in the final, showing blistering speed to pass Hollands Ben Van Der Steen and take second place.Â
Event leader Bjorn Dunkerbeck was not looking so happy today, struggling a bit for speed in the lighter conditions and then just missing out on a place in the final. This was a costly error which has now given Buzianis the event lead with only 2 days of action left!! However they are on joint points so the next couple of days should be interesting!!
Antoine Albeau deserves a mention for just being good at everything!!  He claimed another 4th place today, putting him safely into third overall ahead of Steve Allen.
In the womens fleet, Alison Shreeve showed them all why she has been winning formula races this year and took a comfortable win in the lighter winds! The overall is now looking pretty close with Valerie Ghibaudo taking the lead, but only 1.3 points ahead of Karin Jaggi! The forecast looks light again for tomorrow, but possibly OK for the final day on Saturday!
