PWA Cabo Verde managed just a few half-hour heats on Saturday, with Ross Williams, Diony Guadagnino, Alex Mussolini and Dany Bruch knocking out Jamie Hancock, Ricardo Campello, Jules Denel and Florian Jung. Flo\’s day got worse though, as he was then washed onto the rocks on his way in causing multiple fractures and dislocations to his foot, ankle and leg. The IFCA Slalom Worlds have drawn to a close in Flecheiras, East Ceara, Brazil. France\’s Alice Arutkin and Sylvain Moussilmani are respectively women\’s and men\’s Slalom World Champions. More at continentseven.com and see day four\’s action here…

 

 

Although final standings are yet to be announced, it\’s pretty safe to say that Bjorn Dunkerbeck has won the French Speed Classic with 35.66 knots last Tuesday and 31.50 knots on a brutally  onshore Saturday. Check it out!

The world\’s RS:X racers have been Down Under this last week for the Perth International Regatta, which finished yesterday. Dutchman Dorian van Rijsselberge won the men\’s fleet, with Marina Alabau in charge of the women\’s, as usual! Top Brits Nick Dempsey and Bryony Shaw both finished 5th, with young Elliot Carney posting a healthy 10th place in the men\’s fleet. More at perth2011.com

Following the news last week that designer Peter Munzlinger has left for Gaastra, Point-7 have announced a collaboration with Challenger Sails to “produce faster and higher quality-orientated development paths for both brands.” More at point-7.com
