Boardseeker

Good morning and welcome to Thursday\’s AM update.

Starting us off today is news from one of the most active bloggers out there, Mathias Genkel. In a \’mild\’ 2 degrees celcius, Mathias has been out, battling his way through ice again all so he can get a session in. Check out his chilly video below and read the full write up on his blog.

Our next bit of video comes courtesy of Sam Bittner from the American Windsurfing Tour. Shot on Maui a few days ago, it would seem that the locals there are getting excited for the 2012 AWT and Sam managed to catch a few of them out sailing at Ho\’okipa. It looks as if the AWT is shaping up very nicely this year and with Naish and Hot Sails Maui signed up as the most recent tour sponsors, it should be a really cool series. Find out more here.

The Big Salty development plans mean that they have got a lot to squeeze in to 2012 so all entries will help make a difference. You can do that here. Catch your slice of the action here, or for global forecasts here.

Next up is news from Point-7/RRD slalom sailor Pascal Toselli. Currently out training in Tenerife, Pascal has scored some awesome conditions with wind nearly everyday. The Point-7 slalom course we mentioned a couple of weeks ago is getting put to good use as Pascal puts his new RRD X-Fires through their paces. Read all about it here.
