We kick off Friday\’s AM update with a quick burst of freestyle! Russia\’s leading PWA competitor, Yegor Popretinskiy, stars in a short clip from Dahab, released by Horen Stalbe. Yegor finished in 16th place on the 2011 tour but with action like this, will we see him climb back into the top 8 this year?

The RS:X World Championships are under way in Cadiz, Spain. So far, 3 races have been completed and leading the men\’s fleet is French sailor Julien Bontemps with two bullets and a fifth. Tied in first place in the ladies\’ fleet are Lee Korzits, Zofia Klepacka and Blanca Manchon. With the Levante wind due to arrive today, the sailors were instructed yesterday to lock all of their equipment inside! It seems that today will be a big day of racing, with the ladies taking to the water at midday. Follow the action on the RS:X website here.

The Ghost of Speed speedsailing documentary is well under way and the crew behind it have shared the first official trailer. Check out some special spots in the Netherlands and some very fast top speeds! More info on the offical Facebook page.

The Fuerte Wave Classic is entering it\’s final day today. Sadly, the conditions have still only allowed one day of competition, but keep your fingers crossed that today will deliver some more wind. Jeff Henderson from Hot Sails Maui is currently in China to oversee the production of the new Freestyle Pro sail. Whilst exploring, Jeff came across a larger than life dedication to windsurfing, check it out in the video below… How many square metres of sail?
