Welcome to another day of Boardseeker news.
Kicking off this morning is Ben Proffitt who is currently out in Pozo training hard for the upcoming event. His choice of a last minute trip and being there five weeks before the PWA comes to town could be a pretty good call. So keep an eye on his website for more as he promises regular updates including videos and big wipeouts… For now here is a re-visit to an interview with Ben last year after he knocked out none other than Kauli Seadi. Cover your ears when he talks about Quattro though as it is all about Simmer boards and sails these days.
Heading over to RRD and they have just launched their official press release for this years one hour classic taking place the 8th to the 10th June. A one hour coast to coast race where the competitors will also have the chance to win a €2000 cash prize. Find out more on onehourclassic.com and check out the promo trailer below.
It also looks like RRD have reason to celebrate as their team rider Andrea Rosati took the top spot at this years Italian Wave Championships. Find out more here.
Back again to the UK and the Skandia Sail for Gold regatta is in full swing. With a forecast for over 40 knots today it would be interesting to see a kite fleet manage the conditions. However, news is that the RS:X womens fleet is already out on the water and preparing to start. Follow all the action here and check out the day 3 video below.
Last up for this morning and Andy \’Bubble\’ Chambers still has some spaces on his epic freestyle clinic in Vass. Dates are 24-30th June and it\’s looking dirt cheap at just £599 all in! Check out the poster to the left and find out more on clubvass.com.
