After 61 knot gusts the girls and guys came to the conclusion of the double elimination. The battles were fierce and outside of the podium places Robby Swift impressed the most with the pushloop-forward of the entire competition, whilst in the girls Steffi Wahl had some killer heats to make her way up through the ranks. However, Philip Koester was the man of the hour whilst Iballa Moreno was the women of the hour.

Philip opened his heat with an incredible double forward, almost planing out of it and later launched into another even more impressive one. On his waves he managed to land the first backside 720 ever in competition to take the win from Victor Fernandez. As Duncan Coombes stated \’Philip really sailed out of his skin\’. Keep a close eye for the day 5 video updates if you missed the action on the live stream today, you are in for a treat.

In the womens, Iballa managed to take the win from sister Daida after landing perfect backloops, stalled forwards and the best frontside wave smack of the competition so far. Daida was still on form however, with tweaked pushloops, stalled forwards and nice wave riders. Karin Jaggi took third place after an impressive performance against an on form Steffi Wahl.

Stay tuned on the live stream as there is talk of a super session tomorrow.
