Before PWA Fuerteventura gets underway here is something a little different. Phil Soltysiak and Tricktionary\’s Michael Rossmeir begin part two of their adventures into the unknown earlier this year. Their intial project took them to Columbia and now Windsurfing into the unkown saw them in Kenya. Having released a whole host of material to the magazines it is now time for the video project to go public. Check out the trailer below and more at windsurfingintotheunknown.com
Some more Simmer action for you and here is their new 2013 Icon movie. Again, great moves including the UK\’s very own Ben Proffitt.
Talking of UK riders, a few of the freestylers have been updating. Max Rowe is on a stopover in the UK before arriving in Fuerteventura, Andy \’Bubble\’ Chambers will be on the same flight as him as will Jamie Drummond. Bubble has also be tweeting of epic sessions at West Witterings Trench and the Hayling Island Esso garage. The standard continues to shoot up for our UK freestylers and there are more and more of them attending the PWA events. Talking of which Adam Sims has already been there for a week (we are expecting an update from him this afternoon) and Phil Richards and Danielle Lucas both arrived yesterday. Phil was unlucky in getting his wildcard straight away, however the organisers have come through and he is now on the starting list. Danielle will be holding the flag for the Brits in the girls fleet. Keep an eye here as we will be bringing plenty of updates throughout the event.
Before the freestyle though we have the slalom. With most of the slalom beasts in town and an intense forecast ahead, this is certainly going to be one to watch.
With all these video updates flooding in you may fancy trying out a bit of filming yourself. Well Steve Thorp, the man behind K4 fins and one of the fastest windsurfers in the World has developed the K4 harness mount, head on over to their facebook page to find out more.
Finally we wrap up this morning with a very successful team Severne in Pozo…
