Welcome back to a week of awesome action and radical news from the world of Windsurfing.

Let\’s start with something a little different. Not the usual video, this is more of a stop motion, except it is literally just sequence photos taken by Bartek Jankowski and James Randall of Justin Stuart out at the OTC in Tenerife. Actually it\’s pretty cool to watch and good to learn technique as you can really freeze on a frame and see all the details. Check it out.

Over to Luderitz now, where speed is on the cards. This time we have a lengthy video, showing us a bit more about what exactly goes on down there. This is part 1 so we can only expect more in the coming weeks. Well worth a watch as records are broken and re-broken over and over again.

Last week we had news that a facebook page had been created to get freestyle windsurfing into the Olympics, well that seems to have expanded now as another crops up to get all the PWA disciplines into the Olympics. Check out the page and let us know your thoughts on the forum.

Talking of new groups, it looks like the West Oz Freestylers is taking off with talks of an event this Sunday (2nd) and at the Lancelin Ocean Classic – read more about it here.

More news from the Lancelin Ocean Classic, registration is now officially open and here is what\’s new this year (from the organisers themselves):

“For the 28th consecutive year the Lancelin Ocean Classic is back in the windy cray fishing town of Lancelin with hundreds of competitors and spectators flocking in from 10th – 13th January 2013 for the biggest and longest running windsurfing event in Australia.

This year’s event will be conducted over four days, and includes two windsurfing events (Wave sailing and the Marathon) The marathon is a downwind course of approximately 25 kilometres and over the years has seen from 200 to 400 starters, many entering to try to complete the gruelling course and claim a share of the $25,000 prize pool. Wave sailing is the more spectacular discipline with over 70 competitors sailing in four man heats trying to out manoeuvre each over with the highest aerials or radical wave riding

We are really excited to announce a new marathon route, meaning that the marathon finishes at the point this year and we are also featuring 2 kite surfing events, a downwind marathon and Kite Jam, a freestyle event”

Action packed is certainly the phrase that springs to mind. So if it is something that tickles your fancy and you feel like a trip south then what are you wating for? Find out more on their website – www.lancelinoceanclassic.com.au, and/or their facebook page – facebook.com/LancelinOceanClassic2013

Let\’s wrap up the morning with one final video. This \’little\’ number from the Moussilmani brothers. Another episode of the Explore & Play series hits our screens, this one takes us on a tour through Corsica.

Ok, we have one more for you. Girls windsurfing in Maui, we simply couldn\’t resist posting this one straight away, it\’s a cracker. If you are into that then we have another cracker for you in today\’s PM update, so be sure to tune in later.
