Save Big Bay

Big Bay, one of the most popular windsurfing spots in Cape Town is under threat from a hovercraft of all things. Plans are in the air to build a Hover Craft landing strip in the bay. This will mean no more windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, beach fun or any of the great activities the bay offers. Every year thousands of watersports enthusiasts stop off at the point. But now due to corrupt dealings we could see the beautiful sand dune environment and perfect bay destroyed, killing thousands of eco systems with it. It seems strange to wreck such a well used environment with unfeaseable plans.

What you can do is go to the Save Big Bay website where you will find a lot more information, and then register your name in the petition. The website can be found HERE. Your say is very important!
