SWA Road Trip - Part 3

Boardseeker

You have to feel a little sorry for the Morroccons now that the convoy of Students (does anybody remember the Cannonball run or Smokey and the Bandit?) has escalated to road stopping proportions. For all you students out there Tanya Saleh brings us the latest instalment…

“We have now been in Moulay Bouzerktoun for 6 day. Camp UK  (Priscilla Queen of the Desert springs to mind) takes up most of the beach, and the sounds which eminate also dominate those of fellow beach campers. We have already been told to be quiet at 11.30 pm by some old German kiter, which needless to say didn’t go down too well.

Days at the start were windless, but perfect glassy water made for some good mini-surf….(pix attached of surfers are Bob and Sarah), so days were spent surfing by half of us, and the other half spent them mincing; collecting fire wood, teaching the local children naughty English words, making wasp traps, catching lizards to keep as pets and making enclosures.
The lead mincers are the Sheffield Uni boys-aka “Team Tribord”

Throughout  the last 2 days there has been enough wind to float out and ride mini waves in. So maximum time was spent on the water, mainly at the break called “Toilets”-named due to the fact that at low tide it is these rocks which are used for crouching behind!!-nice!

Also included in photos are one of Matt (ex Portsmouth student) using the urinals, and one of the many amazing sunsets.
The toll of students is now up to 16 after the arrival of an Exeter student, and 3 ex-Cambridge students (the intelligent ones have arrived). Unfortunately for them their flight was 2 days after the UK terror scares, and thus mayhem at the airport-as a result their kit still isn’t here!they must be snapped.
