Turbulence Kite Jam 2006

Boardseeker

Whats it all about in 2006?

Well the plans are all laid and the foundations are in place. With booking going well the event is about 2/3 full. There is no registration on the day this year you need to pre register.

Kitejam is running for a week this year with a full week of events. However the main point of kitejam is, as always, kiting. If you make it over for any day of the event then you will need to register in advance. The competitions and prizes will be distributed throughout the week and weekend.

Whilst the weekend events will run as they did last year and will be based at Westshore Llandudno. Our daily jam sessions will be at varying locations throughout the North Wales coast line. So what does that all mean?

Kitejam is more than ever about kiting. There are lots of kiters of all level and it is the only event that everyone should enter.

Entering kitejam isn’t like any other event. When you enter kitejam you are just along for the ride. Due to limited flying space on a number of our locations we only have room for registered riders during the jam session. Your Kitejam entry also gains you entry to all the other evening events throughout the week.

Whatever you come for as a registered rider you still get your rider pack and all the same goodies. For those of you coming for the week you just get the full weeks jam experience aswell.

Prizes:

This years prizes will be awarded on an individual achievement basis. This means that during the jam session we will be looking for those people who are achieving something new or pushing their level. This could be your first upwind body drag or your first time going backwards in a buggy. It could be your first handlepass or your first aerial 720 on the buggy or landboard. Whatever your achievement our judges will be watching and awarding.

Accommodation:

There is camping on the Bodafon fields farm parc again. There will be showers and toilets at the farm parc for the campers. You are also welcome to parc vans here. Camping does not need to be booked in advance as we have reserved a couple of fields. Camping is £5 a night per tent.

Alternatively the more affluent of you can opt for b&b or hotels. There is a list of them on the web site. Anywhere in Landudno is a good option.

Transport:

You will need transport this year as the event site is moveable by the day. The furthest event site we have is 35 miles from Llandudno.

The next couple of pages give you a breakdown of the events planned for each day so take a look and give us a mail if you have any questions about any of it. Remember whilst the Jams run for 2 hours a day you can kite the whole time and enjoy the full North Wales experience.
