Aloha Classic

11:51 23rd March 2008 by Boardseeker

Aren\’t those trees meant to be bending, straining to keep themselve upright in the tropical Maui winds? Well, in a not even ideal world they would have some kind of motion. But as is unfortunately the case, what was meant to be the pinnacle event on the wavesailing calender has fallen foul to wind curse.

So far it has not been possible to complete one round. The Maui winds dissappeared, and started blowing from the wrong direction. With only 2 days of competition left, we are hoping for a big change in the forecast to get the competition finished. Even so it will only be a single elimination which really puts pressure on everyone. At the moment Kevin Pritchard is sitting on the top of the ranking, and if the conditions stay like they are he will be crowned World Champion.
