Brazil Fever

Boardseeker

A kiting trip of your life to Cumbuco Brazil has never been easier or cheaper!!!!!  The wind here blows a constant 20 knots from June through to the end of January.

You can spoil yourself with the flat water lagoons or stick on the sea which is pretty flat at low tide and has some kickers when the tide comes in.  Its impossible to not improve here!

run charter flights from London Gatwick to Natal from as little as £188 return inlcuding taxes.  Included in this price is one free night accommodation close to the airport allowing you to take an internal flight to Fortaleza the next day.  The price of this flight is generally £65 return with voegol airlines, but they may stitch you up £20 each way for your bags.

Once in Fortaleza you take a taxi to cumbuco for approximately £15.  With my 2 months here I recommend that you stay at Sunset Beach Hotel.  Its a very friendly and beautiful hotel where rooms cost between £25 and £50 a night and can sleep 3.  You will be right on the beach and close to the English run kitesurfing school High Life – a short upwind tac where you can get some really good food for lunch or visit your mate having their first lessons!!!  Town is a 4 minute walk away meaning its close enough for dinner and a few bevvies, but not so close that you hear the traffic blasting through early in the mornings when you want a lazy lie in.  Not only this but the hotel is the most equipped for kiters.  It has a big garden to rig your kites with a compressor to save you pumping and fresh water to rinse your kit after an amazing day on the water.  You equipment is safe within the grounds with 24 hour watchman keeping guard from any unwanted visitors.

The conditions for kitesurfing here are as close to perfect as you get so if you are looking for a getaway between June and January here is your place.
