Four Nations Cup R2

Boardseeker

The waves may not have played ball but the wind did! Come the afternoon, after the rain, the wind filled in from the south providing cross shore conditions ideal for some \’expression sessions\’!

Andy King & Ben Proffitt won through the top half of the draw with Rich Potter and Steve Thorpe (see looping pic) advancing from the bottom half. Junior fleet sailors Aleksy Gayda & Ben Harper were on the water well before breakfast but still had the energy to go out and \’express\’ themselves along with 2006 Masters Champion; blonde, dread locked Sav.

The spectators were kept entertained with Jem Hall on the PA system who provided running commentary during the heats and additional interviews beach side. This is Jem\’s first trip to the north and although it took him three Travel Lodge stops to get here, he has been relishing the port tack conditions and is also impressed with the general sailing standard at this famous Welsh beach!

So back to business: the official startĀ of the AMATEUR, YOUTH, JUNIORS & LADIES contest starts Saturday morning with Registration outside the Funsport shop at 9am. Lunch, goody bag and evening entertainment is provided as part of the entry fee.

It\’s not too late to enter so come on down!!

Thanks goes to Funsport for organising the event so far!
