Keith Atkinson changes sail sponsor dominates the fleet even more! The recent annual Rutland Marathon in aid of the NCH was again won by the 23 year old. The Marathon race is a 15 mile course circumnavigating Rutland Water. All levels of windsurfer completed the course from junior to the Pro\’s.

The 2007 race was held in good 20knot winds (after 3 races for the National Series were held in the morning), making it tricky to decide what sail to take. Keith opted for a change down to keep speed up, and gambling that the slight drop in wind forecast would not last too long. This gamble paid off tidily as Keith came in at first having lead all the way (or so the rescue boats tell us – it was so far away you could not see from the start point). Xavier Ferlet finished in second place a couple of minutes behind Keith, and an amazing showing for youth windsurfer Richard Jones who finished in third.

Another good weekend for Keith who won the series event also. He consolidates his lead in the UK racing series.
