Costa Teguise is a cheeky liitle beach. The majority of the time it is windy but relatively flat, perfect for an international freestyle and slalom contest.
But come a PWA Slalom event and logo high waves re-bound off the reef proving a total nightmare in which to lay the slalom buoys. So the decision was made to re-lay the course out to sea only to find that the rescue boats anchors were not long enough – doh!!
So with no buoys laid there was never going to be a slalom contest. Instead the event reverted to Round 2 of the Freestyle.
Gollito won again but this time against Kiri Thode and it was very close. The Losers Final was between Marcilio Browne and Anthony Ruenes who had beaten Ricardo Campello and Tonky Frans to make the last four. Sara Quita Offringa was the winner today beating Daida Moreno in the final. Third place went to Laure Treboux who beat Nayra Alonso into fourth. Nayra has really improved her freestyle and can now give the top four a run for their euros!
