Registration day turned into lets get on with it day! With 20-25knots of wind, the Judges sent out the wave sailors as soon as they had collected their goodie bags.

Only a few rounds were run, but this was enough for the UK\’s Phil Horrocks to get through against Canarian rider Dany Bruch. The Tenerife ex-pat may have jumped higher but Phil rode better and racked up the points to get through to the second round.

The other five riders to get through their first heats were: Boujamaa Guillol, Martin Ten Hoeve, Yann Sorlut, Colin Sifferlen and Ben Van Der Steen.

The wind on Saturday was not even enough for the slalom boys, so it\’s a waiting game in Sylt. However, this event has much to entertain the sailors so don\’t worry, they won\’t be bored once the sun sets!
