We’ve got Si Crowther on the scene in Pozo and he’s darting around getting all sorts of info on the riders before they hit the water in the next couple of days. First up Justyna Sniady on returning from injury, more from Skye who’s taking on slalom racing and Alessio Stillrich on the next pages.
“It’s been a year since I shattered my foot here, I feel good. The last round of surgery was to remove a screw from the top of my foot, now I have a volcano sore where the foot strap rubbed the scar tissue. My foot is how it is now and I will just get on with my sailing. I hope the women get to run in proper Pozo conditions, not marginal. I’ve trained hard to come back from my injury for this event.” Justyna Sniady, talks of competing in Pozo after a near crippling foot injury here last year.
