After heading to Holland to begin her studies many were questioning if Sarah Quita Offringa would still be able to get in enough practice to remain at the top of the PWA Freestyle tour. Well, she certainly showed the critics! Now six times female freestyle world champion, Sarah Quita is as successful as it gets when it comes to freestyle world titles. Dominating event after event it is only this year where other competitors are showing signs of attacking her position, which could make for a potentially exciting 2014…
I know I want to focus on all three disciplines, freestyle, wave and slalom for next year
Continuing to reign as the champion we personally congratulate Sarah Quita for incredible achievement and outstanding talent. Will she compete in the men’s discipline next year? We will all have to wait and see. In the meantime we caught up with the young lady, the queen of freestyle – Sarah Quita Offringa.
” Winning the event at Brouwersdam and with that my 6th freestyle title feels amazing. It was a very nerve-racking week, especially waiting to sail the final so it was all the more satisfying to win it on the last day. I’m back at uni already catching up on studies. I have no specific plans for this winter yet, but I know I want to focus on all three disciplines, freestyle, wave and slalom for next year”.
