The JP Aloha Classic is just around the corner, with the action kicking off on the 24th of October and a full two weeks to get the best possible conditions for the competition.

Boardseeker thought it was a good time to take a look at the current entry list…

Screen Shot 2013-10-17 at 10.42.37With the event being confirmed relatively late in the day not all of the sailors, particularly the European based riders will be able to make the trip over to the windsurfing mecca.

Undoubtedly the likes of Brawzinho, Fernandez, Mussolini, Traversa and Koester will be ones to watch out for, but could Ho’okipa throw up a curve ball?

Kevin Pritchard and Josh Angulo are already in the main draw, as is the awe-inspiring Kauli Seadi, fresh from a summer of fun Kauli will no doubt be charging Maui. And when we add in some more big Ho’okipa names and the top AWT riders we could really see a mix up at the top.

But the real question is, who’s missing?

Whilst most of the top 10 ranked riders are currently shown as entrants (could we see some last minute changes as any further riders have to pull out?) 10th ranked Adam Lewis is absent from the entry, as is Dany Bruch, as are more riders that would usually make it into the automatic entry positions.

Only time will tell who will make it over to Maui as many make the last minute decision over the weekend, one thing is for sure however the final entry list looks it is sure to contain some of the biggest names in windsurfing taking on epic conditions in the true home of the sport.

Who do you think will win the JP Aloha Classic? Have your vote here.

  1. Dai Sidewheys

Love to see Josh Angulo charge this one one of very few with style.. Shame he wont be in form for it.. Got to be Marcillo or Levi if he enters..
