PWA Sylt 2008: Freestyle Action

Only a few days left of the biggest event of the year and of course the last event on the PWA calendar. This means world titles up for grabs in the waves and the freestyle men (Antoine Albeau has already won the Slalom title). The wave sailors have just begun their first heats and the slalom sailors have had three rounds with UK sailor Ross Williams leading overall.

But the freestylers got a complete single elimination done in the tricky, choppy waters of Sylt.

Here is a taster of the freestyle which was stylishly won by Canarian boy Antxon Otaegui. If no more competition is run then Jose Estredo, who came second, takes the 2008 overall title. But there are two more days to go...
