The new movie from Regis and Xav!

Last year's movie was definitely a highlight of the year. Filmed in South Africa, it featured incredibly high jumps, great conditions, great sailing and a good mix of French comedy, making it one of the most talked about videos of the past 12 months.

Regis Bouron and Xavier Huart are 2 of the Worlds best wave sailors and released exclusively to Boardseeker Subscribers is the first showing of their new movie ‘La Belle Vie’!!

We asked Regis Bouron for some more info:

Q: Do you think the jumps are as big as in last years video?!

Regis: This year we didn't get the same conditions as the last year, the wind was pretty light in February. We had only one good day to try to make some big jumps in Whitsand and we missed the biggest forward loop I saw in my life (from Xavier)!!!! he was disappointed.....it was a lot bigger than the last year.

Q: Are there any humorous moments in the video that include Baboons?

Regis: Ah!! No, this year Xavier left them quiet, but I think this video is funnier than the other one.

Q: What was your favourite session over the whole trip?

Regis: Unfortunately, we didn't have a magic day this year. The best day was maybe between Whitsand and Misty Cliff, starboard tack in side off shore conditions.

Q: Which is your favourite beach in Cape Town and why?

Regis: When Platboom is working good it can be really nice, the wave is really powerful. The problem is that it doesn’t work so much. The place where we have a lot of fun is Melkboss. The orientation is perfect, the waves are not so good but you can have pretty good wave riding and do some jumps on each way. It's a really good place for training.

Q: Finally, how are your pushloop forwards coming on?

Regis: I'm in Pozo actually, I tried it a little but I saw Ricardo crash so hard a couple of times that I'm quite scared now!
