VIDEO: Carro Wave Classic

Last weekend saw the completion of the Carro Wave Classic. An on forecast wave event held in France the organisers were waiting for the most extreme conditions, well it looks like the waiting game wasn’t for too long. Last weekend (16/17th March) the spot of Carro in the South of France was the place to be to watch some seriously heavy windsurfing.

All-in Sport Beach Company launched a new concept of windsurfing event on the 1st March which was to include a two month waiting period for a one weekend competition in the hope that it will attract the maximum number of riders. Having attempted to make it happen last October until December, the All-in Sport Beach Company unfortunately lucked out with the conditions, well last weekend was the one!

Almost 90 Competitors showed up including the likes of Thomas Traversa, Julien Taboulet, Jules Denel and even Peter Volwater from the Netherlands. To read more hit the link below:

Old news for some of our readers but we’ve heard that this video was re-mastered just recently so we are re-posting it. It’s certainly well worthy of a re-post as these guys charge monstrous waves in France. Read the original text below.

Thomas Traversa recently hit the road for an epic journey to score one spot only, here are the words from StefVidéo who captured and edited the action:

“On 5 February, the weather in Bretagne was turning red with 45 knots of wind and waves at 8 meters 14 seconds period announced conditions worthy of a real storm. Finally, less violent than expected, a session beautiful and intense on the spot l’Ile aux Vaches for Thierry Belbeoc’h, Robin Goffinet, Fred Debuire and Thomas Traversa, the latter of whom especially drove all the way from Marseille (some 1200kms) to not miss this day! In images with StefVidéo, back on the highlights of this 5 February 2013 will certainly be remembered”

VIDEO: Red Bull Storm Chase More Action

Thomas Traversa took the top spot with the highest combined score throughout the day, meanwhile the likes of Dany Bruch and Robby Swift impressed with massively stalled forwards, pushloop forwards and more… Check out the action below.
