Swedish sailor Emma Johansson has just got back from Jeri, Brazil and sent us this report:

Emma: I've just got back to Sweden for Christmas after over two months of windsurfing in Jericoacoara, Brazil. It’s the third year I've visited Jeri and it’s been windy as always. It started with some 3.3m freestyle in October but got “lighter” in November when we rigged up 3.7-4.2m sails. Now at the end of December we used our 4.7's more and actually missed the 3.3 sailing a little although the waves were better.

It was very impressive to see was that so many girls where training at the same place and the level was very high. For a while there were seven girls in Jeri who could at least do spocks. Some of the girls are known from the PWA Tour such as Silva Alba, Anna Jönsson, Evi Tsape and Vicky Sanchez. I will definitely be going back to Jeri as the wind is so consistent and it's also a lot warmer than Sweden at this time of year. Have a great Christmas everyone!
