F2 SX Slalom 2007
Nearly every brand has a slalom board within their range these days. But in order to sell, they must appeal to the weekend blaster not just the specialist slalom competitor. So unlike in the late 1990’s, the new generation of slalom boards are forgiving and allow a real world sailor (as we are all now called) to get up to top speed relatively easily – the F2 SX is no exception. It also helps that Finian Maynard, Pete Volwater, Gonzalo Costa Hoevel, and Karin Jaggi do rather well on this production slalom board at the World Cup events. (Nothing to do with their talent – it’s all about the board!!)
The 2007 range has an extra small board (81 litres) which was released in April of this year but now the full range is available.
