DSC 15 – Day 3 – Wind Machine Turns On For The Youths and Ladies

With the competitors on standby for the morning and through lunch we decided to stroll around the event site and bring you a small behind the scenes gallery. As we type the ladies and youths have entered the course area for their next round and the European Championships fleet is gearing up.

We’ll bring you more updates on this later in the day, in the meantime, enjoy the gallery and be sure to head back here later.

After a promising start with the wind building rapidly during the ladies and youths heat, the European Championships fleet were quickly rigging and re-rigging sails in preparation for what was shaping up to be the most exciting heat yet. Then out of no where the wind switch was just turned off and a light onshore breeze filled in.

As a result Aron Etmon was once again the star of the day with the quickest speeds in the combined ladies and youths fleet. Locking down and closing the gap, Aron is certainly showing great promise and turning plenty of heads on the beach.

Meanwhile Zara Davis continues to charge the ladies fleet and takes yet another victory in her respective category. Proving that she is still the one to beat Zara remains in a league of her own.

Check out the results of day 3 below and join us for Day 4 where the forecast promises to be the best yet.
