Registration day – What’s in a world champions quiver

wind predictions for the coming three days looks very positive according to one of the local race directors

Over to Amado

Today after skippers meeting at 10 o’clock it was already clear that the wind would not pick up very soon. After a photoshoot with all the riders on the beach I spent most of my time in the equipment tent. It was the usual format, stickering up my sails, catching up with friends and meeting some of the new slalom guys. Holding us on standby until 4:00pm meant there was no real hurry to do too much. The wind predictions for the coming three days looks very positive according to one of the local race directors. But it’s still the Azores, anything can happen, so we all have our fingers crossed.
