IFCA Slalom Worlds – Top Tips for Light Wind Gear Setup

Over to Jordy

Too prepare my gear for light wind races like this I need to make sure my equipment is flying enough, which isn’t very easy in such low winds like we have here at the event.

To make this happen I can do a few things: –

1) Use a bit less downhaul

2) Put my mast-base a bit further back

3) Use a bigger fin

4) Put my boom higher

5) Less outhaul to make my sail even more powerful.

This helps me generate a lot of power from my sail and it should make me fly with the minimum of 11 knots!
