National Windsurfing Week

National Windsurfing Week is going to be held from the 3-11 May 2008.

The aim is simple: to raise the profile of the sport and get more people to do it! The week will be marked by events across the country ranging from taster sessions to national wave, race and speed competitions.

2008 is also the Olympic year with Bryony Shaw and Nick Dempsey heading up the British windsurfing team. With this in mind the organisers have invited Bryony to official launch the \’week\’ at the Earls Court Boatshow this Friday at 3.30pm on the main stage.

Afterwards, Bryony will be available for questions and also give a lesson on a windsurf simulator on stand 1A 26 at 4pm.
