This is what they had to say:
Maui, Hawaii January 2008
Goya Windsurfing is proud to announce the joining of shaper mastermind Keith Teboul to our sail team.
Keith, being a praised pioneer in the world of board shaping and design, fits right into the picture that Goya Windsurfing has been painting for years, a dedication to design, quality and flow.
With all his efforts and commitment to make Quatro International one of the leading board brands over the last years, he still finds time to rip hard at prestigious events such Cabo Verde and Ho\’okipa. We feel especially honored to have Keith on the team because we know of his demand for perfection and performance. For him to choose Goya as his sail sponsor is a great statement of trust in Goya sails ultimate handling characteristics and durability.
Together with designer Jason Diffin and owner Francisco, they will develop a new line of wave sails designed around Keith’s needs. Being durable, ease of handling and stable are key characteristics that Keith is looking for in his sails. Look for the new sails out this summer.
Francisco on Keith: “One more reason to be stoked on January 1st, Keith Teboul is rigging up my sails and pilling my sponsor stickers from them, I can hardly believe my eyes!!…On the wave his trademark surf riding style look untouched still made me think of all the different things that would better suit his style, like reduce the area at the top and bottom of the sail, add a pvc window, take out some of the shape and pre-shape of the sail, etc . A few days later Jason manage to finish his new sails and we are just waiting for the wind to kick in to go try them, looks like Sunday we will be all testing them on Lahaina side as the north winds approach, can\’t hardly wait. WELCOME TO THE TEAM KEITH!!!”
Jason Diffin on Keith: “I\’m very excited to be working with Keith again on the sails. We have been working closely on sail design for many years, and I\’m very happy that we are once again doing so under the same brand. There are a lot of really exciting developments in the sails, and Teboul\’s hard driving and radical style is what is pushing the evolution along. We will release a new wave model for Goya 09 called GURU inspired by Keith\’s trademark style and demanding, exotic destination windsurf travel schedule. It\’s really an amazing pleasure to work with someone like Keith who has made windsurfing their passion and career. It shows in his abilities as a rider and as a craftsman. He operates on a very high level with everything he does.”
