Well known inside the windsurfing world, Peter Garzke (G-6), signed last January with Severne Sails. He used to compete in the PWA some time ago, but decided that competition is not the way to go for him. Peter is a nomad, travelling around the globe with his gear to sail in every corner of the World.
He is determinate to promote the sport and bring the kids into it. He knows how hard it is for kids to get into the sport so his goal is to keep putting extreme windsurfing images up for the kids so they can imagine how it would feel to windsurf. One of his most recent projects was in South Africa, getting some kids from the town on the water. He is a usual suspect every winter there in South Africa, and thought about giving something back to the country he enjoys so much. The situation there is quite peculiar between blacks and whites, and he thought windsurfing could bring some kids into what they call “white sport”, and try to not only create a connection but also let them have the opportunity of enjoying such an amazing sport.
Peter has a very personal way of living and understanding windsurfing, and he just joined a brand he thinks fits perfectly his ideas and style, Severne Sails. According to the pics we see from him from his last trip to South Africa, they actually fit his style pretty damn good!
