News Headlines – Thu 30th

Top US Racer Micah Buzianis is down and possibly out of the first racing event of the year in Austria (May  5-10).  You may remember that Micah had to retire from last years slalom tour after breaking his leg… Well, having only just regained 100% fitness, an accident in the JP photo shoot last week has caused damage to his other leg (avulsion fractures) which have put him back on crutches and looking unlikely to be on top form by the first event of the year.

Windsurf Zone Italy has a nice video of Victor Moncloa.
Daily Dose are showing today an interesting video of Anders Bringdals experiences as a crew member of the incredible Hyrdoptere hydrofoil boat.  Worth a check!!

Ireland might be renowned for great wave sailing, but they also have some pretty epic speed courses as well over there.  Check out the full report and pictures from Round 1 in Belmullet.

The O\’Neill Cold Water classic has just started in Thurso, Scotland.  The comp has been put on hold today due to lack of swell, but there is a big low out there and things look promising for the next few days.  Keep an eye on the action here.

Finally, we were sent this picture by Lexy O\’Connor.  Apparently Robby Naish is so fed up with the increasing number of sailors on the water at Hookipa that he has resorted to aggressive persuation tactics like the ones seen here with PWA star Jason Polakow!
