Philip Koester has recently signed for MUFins (Maui Ultra Fins). After sailing and testing the fins in Maui during the last NeilPryde and Starboard photoshoot, Philip was so stoked about the fins that now he will be happy sailing with MUFins for the whole season.
About MUFins, Philip says:
“I tried a lot of the different fins and I\’m totally stoked! Testing in over mast high waves at Ho\’okipa I landed high aerials and the fins overall really had much more grip. With my radical style I can be confident that my fins work in any condition and I have much more fun at freestyle and flat water speed sailing.”
Philip had been in Maui a few times before, but he was never really a stand out sailor in starboard-tack conditions. This time however, everyone was pretty impressed with his progression at Hookipa and he will soon be one of the sailors to watch not only in Pozo but also in the Windsurfing Mecca of Maui.
The fins are definetly working for him on port-tack also, as he proved in the last Spanish Funboard Grand Prix in Pozo, winning first ahead of Jonas Cevallos, Eleazar Alonso and Dario Ojeda.
