Wednesday News round up

The Fuerteventura Wave Classic turned out to be a pretty extreme contest with massive waves breaking straight onto rocks. Check out Alfies March podcast for the action, but if you still want more check out the official FWC video below or have a look at the official website.

For all those British readers its great to see Ross Williams finally get that 1st place PWA result. Its been on the cards for a while after leading in Sylt until the last day, but now to get that top podium spot will hopefully give him that extra confidence to push harder. The result also pushes him to the top of the Windsurf Journal “Windsurfer of the year” ranking here. GO ROSS!

Top contender for the “Windsurfer of the year” Antoine Albeau is suffering after a small cut on his hand became infected. Apparently he has had it checked out and is now on his way to Korea, but will it effect his game? Fellow JP Team mate Micah Buzianis is getting back into the game after his Maui foot injury last month. He has apparently been testing foot straps to see what works best for him. If you want to test some gear, get yourselves down to Axbridge reservoir next weekend (23/24th May) to demo all the Starboard, Tushingham, Fanatic, North and Mistral gear. The Baker brothers will be on hand too if you have any questions. Check out the Windsurfers World website for contact info.
