The first day of the PWA Slalom World Cup in Ulsan, Korea, saw all the sailors arrive and register for the event, but unfortunately, they could not start the race schedule for the afternoon as the wind didn’t appear.
It was good though for the sailors to get all their equipment ready and really focus on the competition for the days to come. Here you can find the registered equipment.
Ross Williams is definitely the man to beat after his recent victory last week in Austria, but Antoine Albeau, Bjorn Dunkerbeck, Gonazo Costa and Julian Quentel will be playing hard as well to take the second victory of the season home.
The ladies fleet is also in Korea for their first event of the season. After the domination of Karin Jaggin for many years, Valerie Ghibaudo, always in second, is hungry to take the first victory of the year and the lead of the 2009 Tour.
