Today is registration day at the Pozo Izquierdo PWA event, and if conditions are suitable, the wave competition could start straight away in the afternoon. The forecast is pretty mixed up but yesterday they said they had some good sets throughout the day, so there is always a good chance. Don’t forget that Phil Horrocks is writing his daily updates from Pozo on our forum.

Yesterday they ran the trails to see who would get the final wildcard positions. Local 17 year old Omar Sánchez was the impressive winner, with high backloops, tweaked pushies and some stylish riding. Other sailors making the cut were Jose Romero, Ivan Zeca y Kenneth Danielsen. It looks like JP and NeilPryde are again putting some money on the table to motivate Ricardo Campello to land a triple forward loop.

The former Fat Face National Windsurfing Festival is now the National Windsurfing Festival and it will take place this year at Hayling Island during the 5th and 6th of Sept 2009. More info in the UKWA site.
