News Headlines – Tue 14th

Yesterday sailors were greeted with lighter winds in Pozo Izquierdo, and with not much waves breaking it was a full-on slalom day. Antoine Albeau is still leading the event but is feeling the pressure from both Kevin Prithcard  and Ross Williams. It was a biter-sweet day for Ross, who won one race, was third in another but then had diaster heats in the last two finals, finishing last in each of them. He was still upbeat about the day and he is currently sitting in third. Here you can read the official report of the day.

You can already check the action from day 3.

In the meantime, Tonky was busy freesailing trying a new move that C7 caught on video. It is a Forward into Flaka, and he has named it the “Bongka”.

Another video from C7 is the full lengh video from the final of the Race number 6, won by Kevin Pritchard.

And if you want, you can have a look at some of the score sheets from the Wave final between Philip Koster and Victor Fernandez. Probably one of the highest scoring heats in the history of windsurfing.

Remember that you can follow the Live event ticker from Pozo  and also the live reports from our special journalist Phil Horrocks.

Dario Ojeda reports on his blog about his fourth position in the single elimination in Pozo, and so does Jonas Ceballos about his third.

Xenia Kessler was the new girl joining the ladies freestyle fleet in the Lanzarote PWA event. She decided to do one event this year to see how she liked to compete, and she showed some good potential for the future. Here is her report about her first PWA experience.
