News Headlines – Thu 27th

Todays video is from NeilPryde. With familar tones of the old Rigmarole/Instant Replay clips of the past, we love it!

And talking of NeilPryde they have some interesting new techno developments for 2010.

The new VT-Joint on the 2010 booms eliminates the need for a mast shims, no matter what diameter mast you use. “The V shape provides a second point of contact between the cup and the mast creating a tighter connection and a greater transmission of power.” The booms also feature the new “S Shape“. More details here and look out for a first impressions test coming soon.

They also feature tapering and high wall thickness on ALL their masts, not just the top end products. That means you can find the best technology even on their X3 masts.

Lastly they now include the latest and greatest Formula line with all their MXT Extensions. This is “endurance tested highest grade spectra rope for best performance, reduced friction and longevity.”

All sounds impressive to us, but check out more 2010 toys here.

Elsewhere the Windsurf Journal “Windsurfer of the Year” is still Peter Volwater. With consistent results in Waves, Slalom and Speed, he edges ahead of Antoine, whos wave result is pulling him down. Check it out here.

Good news for the women. They will now be competing in Sylt. Rumours were flying around that it would be guys only, but now everyone can enjoy the North Sea.

We dont see enough slam sections nowadays, everyone seems to land everything. If you want crashes check here.

Lastly dont forget that its only one week to go before the biggest event on the UK calendar. THE BOARDSEEKER PARTY! Well the whole NWF weekend is probably the biggest event, but the Boardseeker party will probably be the highlight. For more info check it out here.
