News Headlines – Tue 6th

The PWA season finished last week in Sylt. With good results in the three disciplines taking place in the event, it was a very successful and spectacular show for the crowd. In total, they run four races in Slalom and double eliminations both in Freestyle and in Men and Women Waves. The winners of the event were Alex Mussolini and Iballa Ruano Moreno in Waves, Antoine Albeau in Slalom and Taty Frans in Freestyle.

Antoine Albeau took the Slalom Overall Title, Josh Angulo de Wave Title, Gollito Estredo the Freestyle Title and Daida Ruano the Woman Wave Title. It was a year with many tie-breaks. Micah Buzianis lost his third place to Bjorn Dunkerbek as Bjorn had a better result in the last event. In the ladies fleet though, they run two sail-off heats in some really extreme conditions to un-do the tie-breaks. They were equal points both in the first place (between Daida Moreno and Iballa Moreno) and in the third place (between Nayra Alonso and Karin Jaggi). Daida and Karin won these heats, winning like this the title and the third place in the podium
