News Headlines – Fri 18th

Today we feature a great video titled “Little Windsurfers”. Shot at Hookipa its great to see what really goes on there. You can spot Brawzinho sailing at the beginning and there a load of other top guys out. Also check the stream of bodies floating past the rocks at around the 1.30 point. Very entertaining.

Another little windsurfer at Hookipa. This time its young Bernd Roediger. At only 13 years old he is quickly establishing himself as the future of Hookipa and his sailing is improving literally by the minute! Watch out for him in the very near future!

Gaastra release their new Vapour Formula board. With Ross Williams dominating the recent Brazil Grand Prix, it is clearly a fast board! Check it out.

Tabou boards have also launched a couple of new lines. First up are their race winning Mantas. Again Ross Williams last years board to devastating effect on the PWA tour, so check out the new 2010 versions here. Also when the wind drops they now have the SUP alternative.

Want some more Gaastra/Tabou information. Check out Davy Scheffers on talking about his favourite toys.

Another up and coming rider to watch out for is Jules Denel. With 2 formula youth world titles under his belt, he is now enjoying some wavesailing where he won the french championships. Check him out in action.

One for the 2010 diary. The Lancelin Ocean Classic. One of the all time best events, mixing a long distance downwinder with a wave comp and one hell of an ozzie style party! More info here.

Don\’t have a diary yet?
Well here are two options for you.

First up is the Womens Windsurfing calendar, featuring some of the top women in the sport. Check it out here.

Next up is the WaveJam version with pictures from all around the UK. More info here.
