But it\’s a long old country, and way up north beside the world\’s driest desert it\’s still warm … and windy enough, with decent groundswell according to this Pablo Castro feature, filmed just a couple of days ago at Chorales near Antofagasta.

Bonairian freestyle rapper Ruben Petrisie hit the slopes straight after PWA Podersdorf, while British journeyman Steve Thorp skipped the first rounds of BWA competition in favour of a beautiful looking few days\’ surfing in Cornwall.
Facing some unplanned down-time whilst healing from his recent tumour operation, Andre Paskowski has uploaded and captioned a Facebook gallery – \’making of\’ pictures from last year\’s \’Four Dimensions\’ Production. Show him some moral support by checking it out.
And finally, a couple of events this weekend. The UKWA course racing fraternity visit the new venue of Folkestone for the North Sea Cup. Meanwhile, fresh from victory in Ireland, Ben Proffitt hooks up with British speed record holder Farrell O\’Shea and heads to Essex\’s Shoebury East Beach for the SX Watersports Demo Day, 11am till 5pm this Saturday. Tabou, Gaastra, Mistral and Simmer kit – and there\’s even wind forecast. In fact, it seems to be windy down that way this very minute … right – I\’m off!
