Day two of PWA Pozo yesterday had wind! Not great waves but enough to get through the first heats of the first round – which is exactly what Proffitt and Horrocks managed too. Although Jamie Hancock was less fortunate, falling to Kai Lenny in the first heat. Here\’s Alfie\’s day two movie, exclusive to Boardseeker…
And on today\’s day three they\’re already rattling through towards a single elimination final – as we publish, the huge news is that Ben Proffitt has just knocked Kauli Seadi out in the second round. He now faces on-form Köster in the third round. Awesome! Swifty advanced against Ezzy to face Browne in round 3, Ross Williams took out Albeau to face Mussolini. But unhappily Phil Horrocks failed to advance past a tight second round heat against Kevin Pritchard. Keep up with all the latest as it happens on the elimination ladder and PWA live ticker.
So who\’s talking? Skyeboy for one, who should have plenty more to say tonight. Ben Proffitt for another, seemed to psyche himself up pretty well last night to take on Kauli. And Phil Horrocks\’ blog on our forum continues to go from strength to strength… Quite unlike us, Pozo News remains entirely impartial throughout!
And finally, much closer to home and eschewing both the Canarian wavesailing and Hove slalom, there\’s been quite a contingent enjoying Ireland\’s west coast. \’Locals\’ Mikey Clancy and birthday boy Oisin Van Gelderen have been joined out west by Timo Mullen, Jamie Hawkins, Dan Macauley and more according to Steve Thorp\’s blog.
